Meet the Fall 2019 Tutors

Yussuf Abdelal
Third Year Biology major. Meme-friendly, environmentally conscious. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Jack Beimler
I’m an English MA student currently in my 2nd semester at UMB. My undergraduate majors were in Archaeology (anthropology), History, and GIS. Looking forward to meeting you!

Benny Berger
I’m a first-year English MA student studying composition and pedagogy. I’m a published academic author and have experience as an editorial assistant. I enjoy linguistics, learning languages, and helping others.

Dave Capone
Hey! I’m Dave and I’ve been tutoring at the Nook for a year now. I look forward to working with you.

Dani English
I’m Dani (she/they)! I’m a senior in the Women’s and Gender Studies department. In my spare time, I attend local music shows, powerlift, and read sci-fi, fantasy, and a variety of non-fiction.

Emma Eugene
I’m Emma, I am a junior here at UMB. My major is English and I am minoring in Secondary Education. I look forward to working with you this semester. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Bryon Ferrer
A Computer Science major who desires being a writer on the side. Personal interests include historical books, loud rock music, and movies that are dumb or thoughtful. Also funny and very chill.

Emily Griffin
Together, we will achieve GREATNESS! Or…at least your paper will. As a junior majoring in both Environmental Science and English, I’m happy to help with writing of any genre.

Jack Leatherman
I am a junior Sociology Major with an interest in how technology impacts society and how society in turn shapes the direction technology takes.

Alyssa Pryce
Hello, Alyssa here! I’m a Senior (4th year) at UMB with an English major. Need help with expanding your essay/written work? Brainstorming ideas? Editing? Swing by, I gotchu!

Madeline Rose
I’m a first-year MA student in the English Department. When I’m not consuming short story collections, I’m most likely plotting to destroy the patriarchy or eating pizza in bed.

Haleigh Santilli
I’m an English MA graduate student on the teaching licensure track. I understand the anxiety of writing and look forward to helping students grow in their writing skills.

Chad Makaio Zichterman
I’m a first-year grad student working towards MA teaching licensure in English. I see tutoring as an extension of helping people find their own voice and make sense of the world on their own terms.
